It's a given that OHS didn't play well but since most of OHS's starters weren't in the game trying to give the younger players some playing time-it wasn't all about Boyd playing well. But they did win so it was a loss for the Owls...

Every team CAN be beat! Some teams need to suck it up as a loss instead of excuses. Both Boyd and the Owls have a very good team and its early now and every team will get better as the season goes on. Looking forward to watching all teams and hoping everyone has a great season.

The lefty for Ooltewah struggled early and then settled in and threw a fantastic game! WV's pitching struggled as often happens in high school baseball. Big momentum swing on the grand slam in the first after a pitching change dug a hole they couldn't recover from. My point wasn't that WV would sweep Ooltewah it was that this district wasn't going to be a cake walk for Ooltewah as you suggested. They are a quality team and have some studs but on any given night you can be beaten in this district. So congrats and yes your prediction was still wrong! Edited April 1, 2013 by TheSwami

Not an Owl fan so dont congratulate me. I would love to see WV win the district but I think Ooltewah just has to much piching.
