Overtime rules?

If two teams from the same region (but not district) are tied at the end of the 2nd half does the game end in a draw or go to overtime?

I think it's a tie.

 

Found this quote in TSSAA Girl's Soccer regulation PDF

 

 

F. Each district may choose to break ties in its regular season contests using a modified tie-breaker system. Each

district shall decide whether or not to use this option by taking a vote from each school prior to the start of the

season. If a district votes to use the option for its district contests, the following tie-breaker procedure shall be

used in regular season:

Teams will play two 10 minute Golden Goal (Sudden Victory) overtime periods. At the end of the first 10

minute overtime period, teams shall change ends. There shall be a two-minute interval between periods. If,

at the conclusion of the two 10 minute Golden Goal (Sudden Victory) overtime periods, a tie still exists, the

tie shall be broken with the penalty kick procedure outlined in the NFHS Rulebook.

Alright we played a overtime game last night with a mom district team, and I thought it should have been a tie

like the quote from the rule book said, " it is up to the district". In our region we really dont have districts. The region decided to play overtime. Therefore you went to overtime. I heard that was a pretty good game!

We played an OT game against Loudon. I am not hip on the rule. Both teams deserved to win. A tie would have been a reward for both teams playing so well. Just my thoughts.

Yea it was a great game ad a heartbreaking lost. It is what it is though. We went to OT with Covington also but ended 1-1 because it got to dark
