District 7 is anybody's to take this year. With the district championship finally meaning something for the first time in years you can bet that those games will be intense. I'd have to give an edge to Monterey to win the district I guess. Coach Loftis and Jackson County could just as easily walk away with the title. Clay County will be the dark horse of the group with several starters that are inexperienced at the varsity level, however I expect new coach Chad Barger to quickly pump some life into their program. Pickett will no doubt put up a hard fight as they always do, but I don't think they will be able beat one of the other three.
