With South out; who are the frontrunners?  DB? Hill?  Any sleepers in Tn High or Central?

Well, Not sure if big Blue posted this before or after the DB /  Sullivan central game last night but Central won in 4.  That should shake things up in the Big 7.

Is DB still missing their setter AND middle?  Hard to win with just a libero.

 

With some decent seniors, Central really has a good shot of winning the district.  Think it is their coaches final year so maybe they'll toughen up.  Or, just as likely, pee their spandex when it really matters.

 

Even as poor as district 2AAA usually is, the Big 7 will have to do some serious growing up to send anyone past regionals.  Anyone making it to state is highly unlikely.

Sullivan Central will win their district and beat Bearden to go to state.

Has anyone seen Daniel Boone play this year yet? I know they hired a new coach but have not heard how they are doing or seen them play yet.

Based on their 5-game match with South last night, DB looks like the team to beat in the Big 7.  And, they may go a lot further than just the districts.

TN High has a lot of young kids, but they will be a sleeper come tourney time. They went 5 games with Central and DB twice and lost all three heartbreakers. They also just won the Battle Bash at John Battle High school in VA this weekend. Science Hill swept TN High and Central. They are the best team I've seen all season.
