MANCHESTER -- The Alcoa boys and Sullivan South girls made history here Wednesday with first ever TSSAA A-AA state golf championships at WillowBrook Golf Club.

The third time is the charm for Alcoa (591) as the Tornadoes have finished third-second-first the past three years. Sullivan South took second, while Notre Dame was fifth and Boyd Buchanan sixth in the eight team field.

Sullivan South led wire-to-wire in defeating runner-up Macon County by eight shots, while Boyd-Buchanan (340) placed sixth in the eight-team field.
