Actually, if the freshman that orcat is talking about is the younger sister of a former Oak Ridge player who is currently playing in college then I would agree that she is going to be a fantastic player. She would really benefit from a competitive club program, NOT something like Phoenix Rising. The problem you have with a freshman this good is like what Farragut recently went thru. The coach uses the seniors and juniors more, the setter doesn't give you enough swings, and your first year is wasted. It is different at Oak Ridge because she is so powerful they have to set her to win, it's just whether the setter can get her the ball. I have only seen Oak Ridge at a couple of tournaments, but she does catch your eye.

I was able to watch the Oak Ridge freshman tonight. She is incredibly powerful. With some fine tuning and finesse she will make an outstanding player. Her instincts were spot on.
