After seeing both teams play the last couple of weeks I'm leaning towards Peabody but not by a lot. I agree with 87. The Vikings lack heart. They rely on athleticism. Which they have plenty of. But discipline and focus with a team centered attitude can defeat athletes. If the Vikings can somehow get that combination they will be hard to beat. Well they are hard to beat as it is but they will be even harder to beat. The Tide by a TD

The Humboldt team that played Union City is better than the Trenton team that UC played last night.UC had the ball for about 37 minutes to Trenton 11 minutes. I didnt see anything impressive about Trenton.70 plus offensive plays for UC and a little over 30 for Trenton. That all depends on which Humboldt team shows up.

True but Humboldt has now lost 2 in a row. They are no n longer flying on that top ranked fuel. Their minds must be questioning how good are they really. Trenton could have very easily made that gsme a 28-21 game or even won with 1or 2 more plays on a couple of those Drives. Iam very impressed with how we were able to control the clock and keep their offense sidelined but they broke 3 long runs and we were fortunate to catch them.

I agree if Humboldt shows up they win easy! If not Trenton in a close one!

Trenton by 14 as hard for me to admit but this team hasn't prove to be a team with heart & emotions when they play & especially for four (4) quarters!!!

Mr 87 this week i do believe that Humboldt will show up to play Friday! Trenton beat them twice last year i think the Vikings will show heart and emotion this week. Humboldt is about ready for a break out game with Mclilly back and Watson in the backfield. I posted last week Peabody has trouble with physical football teams. If the Vikings play physical in which i know they can Trenton will be in big trouble. If not well it will be going home time early for Humboldt! Because everbody has the same record come playoff time!

Humboldt is still Humboldt, if they decide to play they are one of the best teams in the state!!!!! It's up to the players, only so much the coaches can do.

I agree, the coaches don't play the game! I think what Humboldt problem is that they don't have any senior leadership! They need to step up & be leaders on this team & keep players motivated every down not just when you need a big play!! If, the seniors don't play with emotions or discipline then the younger players want, all I want to see is them play four (4) quarters & with heart, & if they lose then, I would not have a problem with that because at that point they got beat by a better team!!!

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
