You're right about the coaches. Coach Good will be just as tough on him at Crockett as Coach Cutlip would at The Hill. What I know of Mikey, I like but surely the kid didn't just expect to be given a starting spot on the basketball team over guys who worked their tails off for months to earn their spots.

Why not? They made it as far in the playoffs this year as most other teams in this area.

You've got to be joking. Crockett continues to field the second/third worst team in the conference. A change in coaching didn't change anything. Their trip to the 1st round of the playoffs this year was a joke and everyone knows it.  No kid in their right mind(that is actually hoping to get a scholarship and play at the next level)would actually choose to go there to play football. Who knows. Maybe Mikey's changed his mind about playing college football......

Well, in a way I was joking. But they looked as good against Knox West as Science Hill did against Sevier Co.  And Knox West did play in the state championship game. Im just sayin'

And they also lost to Science Hill by 69 points.......

 

Crockett's 5 wins this season came against 5 of the worst teams in Northeast TN: Sullivan Central, Volunteer, Chuckey Doak, Sullivan East and Unicoi County. They were blown out by every other team that they played.

 

Science Hill's 3 losses this season came against 3 of the best teams in the state: Brentwood Academy, Siegel and Sevier County.

 

You cannot compare the two teams at all.

And my point was, even in a relatively weak conference, Crockett is still Crockett. They cannot manage 1 impressive win.

For a team that Coach Charlie Morgan compared to that of the great SH teams of the 90's and early 2000's, DB sure isn't living up to the hype. They're currently 5-4 overall and 2-2 in a very weak Big 7, with conference losses to SH and TN High. They also barely beat Crockett at home by 2 pts. So what's going on Indians fans? Why isn't Coach Morgan and his staff getting the job done? If you all had Cutlip or Good coaching your team, I have little to no doubt you'd easily be undefeated right now.

The Tribe will be the best team when Love gets back in January, no worries. It's kind of hard when one of the best players in the state is not active. MARK MY WORDS THE TRIBE WILL GET THE JOB DONE!! Cant just put it on Charlie when the kids aren't playing to their ability....

Love is a good player, no doubt. However, I've watched DB play 3 times so far this season and haven't been the least bit impressed. They aren't very good and it remains to be seen just how much better Love will make them.
