"Can David slay Goliath" Huh? Blackman has players on both sides of the ball being recruited. Your two linebackers (the best I have seen) are bigger than three of our O linemen. Your QB is 6'4" and every D1 school wants him.  Your RB's are both studs and nobody has stopped them.

 

Your team outgained Bowling Green (currently ranked 8th nationally for 42 game win streak) by over 100 yards.

 

Your team totally dominated the strongest Oakland team ever that has some of the best linemen in our state.

 

A David v Goliath comparison for this year doesn't fit.

 

We haven't seen a D this physical, strong and athletic since Haven 2011.

 

This is our highest scoring offense ever against one of the best D's we have ever seen. A great match up but hardly a David v Goliath. This game will be every bit as challenging and exciting as Siegal was last year but twice as physical.

Agreed, this a championship game that should be in Cookeville. A physical game going to be won at the line of scrimmage. A lot different than last years Siegel game. A lot more of a run game here, played between the tackles. I do give Maryville the edge because of home field and they probably have a better passing game. Coaching edge will go to Maryville and also player experience in playoff games.

Most difficult rivalry in the state - Maryville vs Alcoa

Most times with home field advantage in the playoffs?  Maryville
