this is the same workout regiment that has been going on since the Bryant boys took the job.  they don't start working out until the end of march, 3 days a week, and the boys don't take it serious because they are not coached on how to do a workout correctly.  the one coach that stays with the team is sitting back in the office playing video games.  do you think kids that age are going to take it serious?  don't get me wrong, not all the kids goof off.  there is several that goes to the local  gyms and workout because they are dedicated.

That doesn't match up with what I've been told, but you would probably know better than me. The current workouts were described like this, but not the workouts of the past couple of years.

Well according to the GC Herald this week we have something else positive going on at GCHS if you can call it a sport. Our cheerleading team won a competition and is headed to nationals. Yes also our bass team. Plus our diamond teams are putting together something we haven't seen in a few years. Just hope our football and bball teams try and follow suit this coming year. Go GRUNDY. Time for change. These sports that are taking off now have had a change and look what's happening...

Fan I have watched these young lady's play ball and despite the youth they have they are actually a pretty solid team. I know Dekalb is undefeated and all but I think GRUNDY gives them all they want and could possibly get the Win! This is one of the few bright spots in GRUNDY's future. Unless things change.

    • Began as a discussion, and evolved into a trainwreck...   Don't know how many of the TC "old guard" are left, but I feel for y'all.   Everybody has to get the last word... no matter the cost and sometimes the cost is high.
    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
