In the local paper it said DC advanced to the district tournament championship game that was going to be played today. If that is the case I don't guess I really understand the format. Can anyone clarify? Has MCM lost in the tournament or something?

Central has not lost....your local paper just said the wrong thing.  They should have said Dekalb advanced to the bracket championship game, just like Central advanced to the bracket championship on that side....if both teams win tonight the tournament championship will be tomorrow and if either lose then the championship is on thursday

The championship is winner take all if I read correctly. Only one game.
