I agree with its probably Upperman's  to lose but, I have seen several of the girls from DeKalb come a long way with there hitting this past summer. If they play as a team and hit like they are able they could do very well in district play. Also they have a real talented  freshman pitcher who is also a very good hitter. I believe there pitching rotation will have enough depth that they will always have a fresh arm. should be some great district play in 8AA this year.

Not to leave anyone out. I know very little about Macon or Magnet , Cannon will be a threat with their pitching,  Hale is pitching very well right now and there defense has improved a lot of the last couple of years. Livingston with be a threat with there defense and some offensive power. They have a couple of sophomore infielders with a lot of power that could change some games. With the experience they have in there starter they could be the Cinderella of 8AA.

I think it is Uppermans to loose. They definitely have the pitching but the question is do they have the hitting to win. They will miss Bryant that is for sure.

Agreed.  I watched them play the other night and they were struggling at the plate.  It could have been just this one game.  There is a lot ball left to be played.

Well to answer my own question, Macon County is a team of hitters. Very good at putting the ball in play. LA had many errors and didn't hit the ball til the last inning. Defense wasn't near as solid as it was at the Beech play day. Carr pitched the first couple of innings and then the lefty Freshman came in. Errors in the field hurt but overall she threw the ball well with 6 Ks I think. So all in all need to work on keeping down the errors and work hard all the time!

    • Well well well,  It was just a matter of time before the wheels fell plumb off the dragon wagon, and that pos  is sittin' over on highway 61 #### up in the ditch.   I called it 2 years ago everybody thought it was so cute with the church van and the K-town basement boys.   And here we are.  This is about to get fugly.  It's a mess and it's about to go public.   Investigators are just now scratching the surface.  Stay tuned.  Watch the news in the next few nights. Just when you thought you had seen it all, here we go......................
    • I am betting on that one too. They will rock 4A. Many don't see it coming.
    • So Reado left because Smith left? That seems like Smith just pulled the rug out from under him and left Reado hanging. Why didn't Reado just stay on and coach O-Line. I am sure he could have done a great job. He has been successful before at CAK and Grace Christian of Knoxville. Is private Christian School coaching that much different than coaching public school, and it also being BHS at that?
    • What do you mean they’re exaggerated? In the time he’s been there he has officially hired 10 coaches who are no longer a part of the program. That is a fact. If anything I’m underreporting the number who have left. Only one left for a better job. Having that high of a turnover rate is a major red flag.
