Im saying that 8aa is a tough district and Smith County should be able to make a run next season depending on coaching . That being said if you follow that district nearly every team can say that.

From the names I'm hearing here we won't be saying that anytime soon. We will be irrelevant for yrs to come. Sure hope I'm surprised!

The rumor going around the Columbia area is some Hamilton guy will be next coach at CA. Don't really know his coaching past but heard he was girls head coach a Zion years ago. Not sure why he left there. I was told he is a Mt. Pleasant graduate. Not sure what year? Does anyone know what kind of coach he is? I know some CA people and they say he has a son that goes there. Also, Helton of Lewis County is supposedly in the mix. Where does he coach now?

What happened to Hamilton and MP girls job ? Is he from MP?

The Jim Hamilton is Judge Hamilton's son. His son does go to CA. Did he apply for the MP job? I heard he is a finalist for the CA job and also the Summertown boys job. With all of the interest he is getting I would think MP would have gotten him. Maybe they just wanted a lady.

Talked to a source in MP and reason Hamilton did not get the girls job is because there was no teaching positions available for what he is certified in... They were forced to hire someone who had a SPED certification..  Hamilton is certified in PE..

CA may have a surprise name in Catie (Woods)Embrey...played at Lawrence County, Rick Insell's Nike Elite team, and Lipscomb......if they could get her they would be lucky
