Inaccurate Rankings

Greenbrier #9???  Greenville #1???  System must be flawed.  Greenbrier has beaten better teams along with the Alabama teams winning an Alabama tournament.  It doesnt mean anything but Greenbrier also beat Mt. Juliet, Smyrna, St Benedict, and Creekwood in playdays.  I may be biased and looking at things through green colored glasses lol.

Missing scores hurt the rankings. If you could add as many in your area as possible even for other teams it would help things out.

When Greenbrier beat these teams it was pre season.  Not all teams were pitching thier #1 pitchers and a lot were playing some JV players.  Not taking anything away from Greenbrier, they are good.  Just sayin......  Some teams might take a loss here and there to allow more players to get some time.

 

I also agree the system appears flawed.

Fortunately it is not a poll that determines who plays for the championship so take it for what it is worth.

It happens, Walker Valley has beat both East Hamilton & Soddy and they are not even on the list. Gibbs looks strong.

In AAA if my memory serves correct, Oakland is ranked 8th and they have been run ruled 3 times and not all teams were AAA teams.

Yea, were AA and run ruled Oakland and we are 9th in the AA classification.

The rankings are based on number of wins (no matter who against) computed with strength of schedule. They don't account for head to head competition, scores, classification of opponents, etc.

Out of state opponents can't be factored in either.

Actually number of wins has very little to nothing to do with it.

28 vs 76 schedule strength with some of the wins vs Alabama teams. When teams start making or missing the postseason due to these rankings it will be something to stress over.

Not sure of your calculations but it seems to me that the calculations do not take into consideration how much of the schedule has been played WITH number of wins and number of losses.

 

I understand these rankings affect nothing, but why post them if they're not accurate. Not stressing lol. Just stating my opinion.
