42 there was talk last year that the GC middle schools were going to combine. Rutherford, Dyer, Yorkville/SpringHill, is this coming true anytime soon? I think it would be a mistake for basketball. Maybe other sports OK. If it ain't broke why fix it

Never can tell. I heard rumors as well, but I know there is some friction about it due to a lot of kids that wouldn't make it. We will see. I didn't think Medina would build there own school, but they did. Future is really bright for girls basketball in West TN. Martin, Dyersburg and GC I have watched several times and really look good. Trenton, TCA, Gleason, USJ are good as well in Jr. High. Going to be some good basketball in the future.

They played South Gibson. They are not terrible this year. They are very fundamental. GC Pioneer could help with names, but I want to say Alana Hunt is a player. Erin Lannom's little sister is point guard and they have another girl down low who is a beast down low. They say Rutherford is better than Dyer.

Rutherford, Dyer and even the Jr. Pioneers have players. I'm not sure on names, I just know Gibson is going to be good for awhile.

Also, Westview has some young talent. They have a post kid that is around 6'3 and will be good. They also had some very good guards as well. Greenfield has the best 7th grader in West TN.

Yeah we played the 7th grader from Greenfield last summer and she is the real deal. She played for Brandon Jones and the Lady Flash if we are talking about the same girl. West TN girls basketball is going to be loaded with talent in a couple of years.

Dyersburg and Dyer Co. both have outstanding freshmen as well. What I've noticed at the team camps is that most of all of the better teams in our area are being ran with young talent. I haven't come across many senior laden teams at all.

Westview is very young this year with only 2 seniors and 2 juniors. However, they have a dominate senior post player and one of the best freshmen in the state. Then, Martin Middle School is loaded with talent. Got a 6'2" 8th grader and some quick guards that can play. They also have two guards who will be 7th graders are playing with Brandon Jones' lady flash this summer. One is a stud and the other is one of the purest three point shooters I have ever seen at her age. Haskins has a lot to work with and be successful with in next few years! Look for them to make a few runs at state over the next 5 years

Westview will be fine in another year or 2... Between the upcoming sophomores he has now, Tasia and Deja in the freshman class and Raegan at the middle school, along with those other guards you mentioned, Westview will be fine for awhile. The future is bright there. Oh yea, and they brought in a great coach in replacement of another great coach.

      QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid..
