Bigj, if that Bryant man can score 22 points on that Ross mans defence then I garuntee you when you play a real good team they will be able to score a lot more. Especially if you have to play that Creasy mans team again in the playoffs. You think im joking but im not.

Not entirely...but nevertheless MC did what they were expected to do. GC had no answer for MC's balanced attack. GC couldn't catch a cold in the first half, then finally settled down in the 2nd half. Still not highly productive, but better. MC should go undefeated (hopefully 9-1). Good luck.

When brought in an extra blocker in the backfield in the 2nd half that helped.

 

They caught the ball the 2nd half, not the 1st.

First, congrats to Coach Ross, staff and team.  Solid first game outing; stout, confident team.

 

VM92, Grundy just got whipped, plain and simple. Overall team blocking / tackling just wasn't there tonight. First half failed fake punt from Grundy 40 yard line didn't help matters and a complete defensive melt down on a MC 3rd and 18 was crippling.  Grundy tried to repeat this gift in the 3rd qtr but MC missed the throw.  Can't have things like that and be successful. Waay to much arm tackling; not a good method to bring the hoss down, or anybody for that matter.  Grundy coaches first half game plan didn't work; adjusted at half time and found some offensive success in 3rd qtr.  MC countered each score; can't recover from a 28 point hole simply swapping scores.  Support these coaches and players; success will come.  They played toe to toe with MC in that 3rd qtr.  No reason they can't perform like that for a full game.  They'll get there.

 

Noticed several big kids on the Grundy sideline wearing jerseys / blue jeans.  Grundy have some injuries?

Well its time!! I look forward to watching some high school football tomorrow night. I think Marion will come out strong and keep pounding the rock! Its the first game so I see a few mistakes coming, but im going to say Marion wins 35-14. See everyone tomorrow night. Go Warriors!!!!

I was right in the respect a lot of point would be scored. Grundy not making easy plays.,...still think they have a great qb and that oline did not show as well as I thought they would.

I know its sad, but great to see the big MC going in the right direction again. a lot of room for improvement from what I seen last night, but that will come over the next few weeks! Hope all is well down your way my friend!
