8AA 2014 Predictions

District predicted order of finish.

1. LA 2. Macon 3. Cannon 4. Upperman 5. York 6. Smith 7. Dekalb 8. Central Magnet

I say 1. LA no one even close and could make a push for state. Hollars and Elderidge are the best 1-2 punch in this district maybe ever. Hayes will be the best freshman in the district 2. UHS the two McWilliams boys are pretty good, plus two projected CHS starters transffered in, and the Guffy kid will make a good starting five. 3. Macon has all the starter back plus Carlise, should have a great season. 4. York 5. Cannon 6. Dekalb 7. Smith 8. CM

So i  guess that leaves our DC boys as the #8 seeded prediction since u dont have them listed. I hope they are better than that. Your right though the 3 teams listed tied for 2nd will be a battle. I really hope we are better than CM. LA is the best no doubt, may not lose a game in the district.

LA will get upset one night on the road t finish 13-1 in district play. Whoever in the second wave of teams to do it would be 2nd. Cause I say they all split with each other. They are very simular in style,coaching, and talent level.

Does 8AA have a media day poll with their coaches to do a preseason ranking.

DC will not finish last, Central just doesn't have the talent to compete in 8AA (yet, but that day isn't far off).

DCTiger, what makes you say that Central Magnet is moving up one day soon? Looking at their record for the last 3-4 years and I can't see any indication that their program is moving in the right direction, SMH

Bold statement but I'm on board with you if it's possible. I do think for some reason our coaching staff is a little underestimated. I hope I am correct on that assessment and they can prove what your saying.

Watched us play this summer (yes it's summer and yes it was just twice) but we may not have the horses LA does but I feel we are pretty dang solid. Guess we shall see.

Yes Smith County has a good freshman class coming in, but this district will be between two teams, Cannon County and Livingston will battle at least three times this season and a possible fourth in the region finals.

Yes over LA! This will be cannons year to get to state. Just my opinion.

Cannon is good but going to state is a bold prediction. Hopefully they can make it and represent the district well. Who knows anything is possible.
