How does this year shape out?  Love to see what people think, here are some thoughts:

1.  Livingston- to much fire power and a great coach who always gets the most out of all of her players.  No better place to play and watch a game than at Livingston.

2. Central Magnet- Obi is really good and the transfer that they got in from Siegel is solid player to add to the mix.

3.  Smith County-  Hackett is very good player, new coach maybe new style.

4.  Upperman-  good young players coming in, could be really good this year

.

5.  Cannon County- lost a lot of good players last year, not sure how good the younger players are but they have had a great run.

6.  Macon County- return solid post and good guard, always a tough place to play.

7. DeKalb County- good group coming back and a good freshman, in any other district would be top 3 probably, but tis district is really good and Lady Tigers scheduling is still big question, got to play better teams to get better.

8. York- new coach but still same problem all talent is at Clarkrange.

Livingston - I think they are head and shoulders over the rest of the field. experience + depth +good coach =  State

Smith - If refs keep calling hand checking , which they done for about 10 games last year, Hackett could get 20 from the line. Seniors that have had some big wins should help. Coach is a mystery.

Central - Should Smith get back full strength and obi they will be good.

Macon - Sleeper of 8 aa. Very good point guard , two post that have good hands, and a decent supporting  class. Very little team speed.

Upperman - wait till next year they will be in top 2 or 3

Cannon - Sort of up in the air on this. They cant be as good on Offense or Defense ...Or could they get close.

DeKalb -  Got a very hard nosed team that play as hard as any. Just don't think they get there.

York- Have a lot of respect for the coaches and team. If they had their kids that should have went there they would be close to the top. Hope they are the "sleeper " team this year.

DC has a good nucleus of players and good incoming freshmen. From what I hear their work ethic and the coach's work ethic leave alot to be desired. Not alot.of hard work this preseason. Hopefully all I hear is wrong and they have a great season. The scheduling that they play will definitely help. Good luck DC.

Pretty sure ole Casey C is a troll. I understand being logical, but every true fan I've ever came across will always have/show a little homerism, even if they aren't always pumping sunshine and rainbows. He claimed to be a DC supporter/fan, but is always negative and putting them down.

Dctiger not putting anybody down. This team has a chance to do some damage in the district. What do u think about the scheduling. The girls have alot of potential.

I don't really keep up with women's basketball besides of checking the scores and these threads. I don't know what type of schedule they have this year, so I can't comment on it. I have heard/seen where it's been brought up numerous times that our coach likes to schedule "soft" out of district games for the most part. Whether that's true or not, I don't know.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
