Region Tournament results

Bearden and Farragut will win 3-0 pretty easily. DB and MW are too small and not skilled enough to pull an upset. Doubt either will score 15 in any game.

 

Catholic has a rough road. It will be a major upset if they win. South is too strong. CAK has the easiest road, even this coach couldn't blow this one. It will be a CAK vs South rematch at the state tournament. It's CAK's last year with a 6 6 player so it is now or never!

I would not underestimate DB especially in their gym which is a large dome and gives opposing players fits because of the depth perception and the lighting.  DB's middle is very good and can take over when she is on the front.   Having said that I watched Bearden play in one of the tournaments in Nashville and they are playing very well - would not be surprised either way.  

 

I don't see Farragut or CAK having any trouble whatsoever.

Bearden has too much height and athletic fire power. DBs middle is good but Beardens middle is more athletic. Would be a major upset if DB takes a game.

So, the last time region 2AAA (Knoxville) sent TWO teams to state was NEVER.  Look it up on the TSSAA page if you don't believe it.

 

South moving down to AA helps region 2 but to predict DB won't get to 15 playing at home is a big stretch.

 

TH will have 20 kills.

I saw DB at he Catholic tournament and they play slow and sloppy. Bearden has too much size and defense. DB doesn't have anyone that can put the ball down against Bearden. They will be home EARLY.

CoachT scoreboard says DB over Bearden 3-2.  How do you win 3 games if you can only score 15?

 

Maybe AC would have fared better.  If only they could make it past AAA regional semi's.  Ever.

Yep. It's true Bearden lost. What an upset. I guess I was wrong when I said bad coaching couldn't even hurt Beardens chances..
