Camden has a couple of seniors but should be better next year after they have played together and gained that valuable experience

I would just like to thank all of the 11AA coaches and players for one thing. We have a young man in our community who is a regular in the Special Olympics. He also is a manager for our football and varsity basketball teams. He dresses on the JV basketball team. He gets some playing minutes during the games. He'll walk and double dribble often. He camps on the 3 point line and fires up rainmaker 3's pretty much every time he touches the ball. He's a great young man from a great family here in town. His classmates and our community just love him. He's hit several big time 3's from downtown this season. To see his face light up afterwards is simply amazing. Opposing JV coaches and players have been very classy and cooperative in letting this young man be a part of the game. Even the refs tend to ignore his violations. I just want to say thank you to all of the 11AA players, coaches, and fans for letting this young man be just like his peers who get to play the great game of HS basketball.

Sounds like some classy people representing 11 AA.  Goes to show that it is way more than just winning & losing.  We tend to lose perspective on that fact and put to much pressure on the players, coaches, refs & even administrators.  School personnel are in it for one thing, that is the development of our youth.

The District 11-AA Tournament is next week and regular season play concludes tomorrow night.  There are several "tie-breaking" coin flips that will take place at the coaches meeting on Friday.

1.)  Creek Wood (15-0)

2.)  Waverly (13-2)

3.)  Camden (9-6)

3.)  Montgomery Central (9-6)

5.)  Stewart County (8-7)

5.)  Hickman County (8-7)

7.)  Lewis County (2-13)

7.)  Fairview (2-13)

9.)  East Hickman (2-14)

Creek Wood is the district champion.  They will play the winner of the #8 vs #9 seed "play-in game".

Waverly is the #2 seed.  They will play the team that wins the coin flip between the trio of Lewis County, Fairview, and East Hickman.

Camden and Montgomery Central are currently tied for the #3 seed.  Camden finishes with Fairview while Montgomery Central finishes with Stewart County.  Camden/Montgomery Central split the regular season series so if they both win tomorrow night they'll have a coin flip on Friday.  Should one, or both teams, lose it opens the door for Stewart County who has already split the season series with Camden and has an opportunity to do so with Montgomery Central tomorrow.

Stewart County and Hickman County are currently tied for the #5 seed however as mentioned earlier the Rebels could improve their seeding with a win tomorrow night at Montgomery Central. Hickman County finishes with Creek Wood (they're a major underdog).  The Bulldogs split the season series with Stewart County and Montgomery Central but were swept on the season by Camden (who will be a heavy favorite against Fairview).

The #7, #8, and #9 seeds will likely come down to a three-way tiebreaker between Lewis County, Fairview, and East Hickman.  Each of those teams split the season series with their counterparts.  East Hickman has already finished their regular season while Lewis County ends with Waverly & Fairview ends with Camden.  The winner of the coin toss would travel to Waverly while the other two schools would compete against one another in a "play-in game" for the right to travel to Creek Wood.
