What players have emerged on the volleyball scene this year?  Who are we going to be watching next year?

Lauren Dorrell transferred to Father Ryan from Houston, TX

 

Best player in state next year hands down

Watch a couple of hitters at Harpeth, except for the libero they are young up front and hitting, and not bad either. I think mostly sophomores and Freshmen.

You need to watch Gabby Gray from Baylor at State against Father Ryan, Have not seen the FR girl, just know Baylor has beaten them twice already this year.  Big write up in todays paper about her and her baylor teammates.  She will be a Junior next year.  You also have a Smith Girl from Grace.that hits really well in Chattanooga that plays for a team that doesn't have a lot of support with passing or setting.  She could be the best dark horse player for this coming year.

Baylor & Father Ryan have split this year.

Baylor won the 1st match (3-1): 25-20, 15-25, 25-23, 25-21

Father Ryan won the 2nd match (3-1): 22-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-23

Alexis Parker (OH) and Maddie Howell (Libero) at Farragut High School are two of the top players in the country. Lots of talent all over the state.  I dont think there is a "best player hands down". Lauren Dorrell is the real deal, glad she made her way here from Houston. Everyone has to up their game now. Kylie Scruggs at Goodpasture has got an incredible all-around game and should take them on to a second state championship.
