 FriOct. 237:00 PM Smith County R. I think YI goes 4-2 in region with loses to UH and DC(but a toss up), and 2-2 outside the region with losses to LA and one to either Stone,White,or Kingston. 6-4. Key to a better season is beating DC, and sweeping Stone,White, and Kingston. Best case they could be 8-2.

. Hard to judge with no coach but here goes. Losses in region to DC,UH, and YI....and split between Smith Co and Grundy. I thhink they beat Whitwell, but only win one between Bledsoe, Warren, and SP. 4-6. Best case is if they beat both Smith Co and Grundy Co, and win 2 of the three verse Bledsoe, Warren, and SP to go 7-3. Edited by UpperCumberlandMan

Oct 16 @ Cumberland County

Oct 23 @ Hixson

Oct 30 @Sequoyah

Not in this region but here goes: wins 2 verse Hixon, Chat Central, Cookeville, East Hamilton...and will win the rest for 8-2. Best case win 3 of the 4 verse Hixon, Chat Central, Cookeville, East Hamilton to go 9-1. Hardest game will be Cookeville.

If I remember correctly, I heard he turned down an offer to coach at Siegel(?) while he was at UHS. Maybe you know more than I do. His sights seem to be set on YAI. Also I'm glad we're playing cookeville now, hopefully they stay on the schedule. I wonder what the rest of the schedule is.

I'd like to have LA and Sparta on there too. A 4a, 5a, and 6a. Can't complain about a weak schedule anymore.

 

Surely this offer to coach at Siegel was as a coordinator, correct? If it was as a HC, I don't see how he could possibly turn it down. Even if he accepted it, and done well, he could always go coach at York years down the road when the job became open/available if that's where his heart is.

Pretty good non-region schedule for York. They're mostly playing up, and all should be tough competitive games. I don't really see any gimmes outside of maybe Kingston. I cant say I know much about Kingston, but they seemingly have been pretty bad the last two years. I too think York will find a way to go 2-2 in non-region games. It wouldn't surprise me to see them go 3-1, or 1-3 either though. In my eyes I believe Kingston will be a win for York, while LA is most likely a loss. SM will probably be tough, but winnable, so it's a toss-up. It does help that York will host SM. White County should be improved from this past season. Injuries seem to have really took a toll on them this year. They potentially should be a pretty decent team I would think, but at the same time this is still very winnable for York too, and they get them at home. White County will also be what, 5a? That alone will probably be enough to have a competitive game considering the difference in school sizes between the two.

Not sure how these games will play out for LA in the non-region schedule. Could be anywhere from 4-0, to 2-2. I believe @ Cookeville will be a loss, and @ CAK wont be easy either. York and Smith County appear like they should be wins for the time being.

I would think DC would keep both Macon and Warren if they can

      Egotistical? That's a new one.  It's funny, I'm friends with two of the younger coaches that he "ran off" as you say. In fact, he helped them find jobs, encouraged them to do what was best for their growing families, provided advice, support and still does to this day.

      Track has always been big at OR. Ran off about 7 straight titles in the 60s. Your hate for Gaddis runs deep, huh? What did he ever do to you, to make you disdain him that much?       This late in the year, you’d have to think they’d go with an Asst. on staff, right? I’m pretty new to the area so still learning how folks do things around here…if Woods stays there to teach, it could be hard on a new guy/staff coming in…

      Well, your Big Western Hunt better turn up some Zebras to come graze on the Stones to make the jungle gametime ready again and make sure the plumber bros. still will come service the facilities at the Mecca.
