New Coach Nathan Aaron started his coaching debut at PC with a 85-62 win over Pisgah, AL. He was a former Pickett Co Mr. Basketball candidate (TSSAA) in 2003.

The Bobcats are young but talented. Dalton Gore led the team with 18, freshman Dawson Abbott played about half the game but had 5 threes and 17 points. Blake Hughes had 13, Ben Neal 11 and John Michael Ferrell 10. They play at McMinn Co today.

Yes the officiating was pretty bad but you have to roll with it and not let it get you mad, which then hurts your play. The boys made mistakes you expect in early season and most of them haven't seen a lot of playing time before this year. But, they played McMinn Co, a AAA school and won on McMinn Co's home court, which I think was a good win. The Bobcats went up by 14, then started turning the ball over on poor passes and McMinn tied the game. I liked Coach Aaron's time out where he settled them down and they came back out and played with confidence again and pulled away to win. David Parris played solid ball and wasn't rattled under the pressure to make those final four free throws...all net.

Two more tough games now...Oneida at home Monday and at Livingston Tuesday, which most likely will the toughest game of the year.
