BigDave1967
All 32 teams in 6A make the playoffs. All 32 teams in 6A make the playoffs. That's really dumb,I would do just a reduced Playoffs.

Red Rebels
This years HVA team would match up very well with D-B and SH. I don't know what they lose though.
voltnh
1) Maryville 2-5) SH, DB, BC, HVA- not necessarily in that order 6-8) Jeff County, WB, Bearden Honestly, asides from Maryville, who knows. Bearden used to field some good teams, Jeff County, too for that matter. Not sure what's happened with those programs. Speaking of playoffs, will the brackets be cross seeded (i.e. R1-1 vs R2-8, etc) or will we face the same teams in the playoffs as in the regular season for the first 3 rounds? LGVol
I heard cross seeded from a very reliable source.....gpnna be some long trips in the first round of the playoffs.
CU06
My estimation is that it will look something like this for the 1st--2nd--3rd Rounds. Reg 1 #1 vs Reg 2 #8 Reg 2 #4 vs Reg 1 #5 (winners play in rd 2) Reg 1 #3 vs Reg 2 #6 Reg 2 #2 vs Reg 1 #7 (winners play in rd 2) Reg 1 #2 vs Reg 2 #7 Reg 2 #3 vs Reg 1 #6 (winners play in rd 2) Reg 1 #4 vs Reg 2 #5 Reg 2 #1 vs Reg 1 #8 (winners play in rd 2) Cross seeded and set up so that if the higher seeds (home teams) advance, they still play someone from the opposite region in Round #2. Assuming the higher seeds advance again, the #1 seeds will play the #2 seeds in the Quarterfinals, and the overall #1 seeds would not meet until the Semifinals. Rob_M
2014 isn't over year. Simmer down! Maryville vs Whitehaven for the title this year would be fun. Whitehaven has the confidence that not many teams have when they play Maryville. Not saying this means anything. But, It can't hurt.
Acumen
Here's my predictions for Region 1 6A for 2015. The top 4 teams make the Playoffs 1)Maryville 2)Science Hill 3)Dobyns Bennett 4)Hardin Valley 5)Bradley Central 6)Jefferson County 7)William Blount 8)Bearden Number #1 is a lock after that it is all going to depend on how bad the kids want it. Off season work by the team leaders is the key. Work hard in the weight room and on the field and teams can surprise you. I know I was impressed with BC in the first round of the playoffs. Their QB is a very talented sophomore SH finishes the season going to BC then going to DB. That is a tough final two games on the road. Looking forward to 2015 but until then lot's of camps and work to be done to get ready.
voltnh
I heard cross seeded from a very reliable source.....gpnna be some long trips in the first round of the playoffs. That makes sense, but travel will be a pain. However, considering the OOC schedule for SH and DB, travel doesn't appear to be a grave concern.
