Actually...they don't have less students combined. I guess you realize I didn't elaborate on what the reasons were. I just stated the fact that there was nobody there. Because...uh..there was nobody there.

Enrollment per TSSAA official web site for 2015 football classification:

Peabody           407                     Ensworth  422

Marion County  523                     MBA         487

Total                  930                     Total         909

Under the modern math, 930 >909

Thanks for playing and I very glad that you are so into D2 football   B)

You must be looking at old figures. Current (modern) figures are as follows:

Peabody 395 Ensworth 462

Marion 518 MBA 510

Use your MBA education to do the math...lol.

Yes...I actually enjoyed the game.

Note to you...always list your source. Also...you can double the MBA figure since it is an all male school.

Double the number why?  Relative enrollment was offered as a point of discussion of the universe of potential attendees related to the schools, not for football classification purposes.  Single sex enrollment has no relevance to this discussion.

Instead of trying to snipe at two excellent school programs, you should come to a game at Ensworth or MBA next year - you might be surprised at the atmosphere.  I would be very surprised if you didn't have a great time and I can pretty much guarantee that you would see some excellent football.

I've been to both campuses. No sniping on my part. I didn't reference either school...just their attendance at a state title game. We poor public school people can't afford the long trek to Nashville very often.

Well I hope you do get a chance to come to a game - we would be glad to show you a little hospitality.  In the meantime, I will keep paying my taxes to do my part in subsidizing the public schools.  Best wishes to you and to Smith County.

Thanks...we poor counties appreciate your handouts. We don't have anyone on the level of a MBA grad. Just a vp & a sec of state....founder of CCA...nobody notable.

As for attending a game...I'll pass. Thanks for the invitation.

More people would show if it were on Friday or Saturday night. But the TSsaA prefers the public schools to play then.

On that..we agree. You have to play 8 games in 3 days. By far...almost all privates draw less fans...DI or DII. I would think that is why they are on Thursday. The only other option would be to move it to the previous Friday or Saturday.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
