bobcatfan300
After leading Clarkrange by as much as 15 points, Pickett Co. held on to beat district favorite Clarkrange by 10 in the Bobcat Den last night. Clarkrange had a big height advantage but were too slow for the very quick Lady Bobcats, who also beat Jackson Co. at Jackson Co. last Friday night. Pickett Co. had 10 threes and several steals with Jayna Ferrell leading the Lady Bobcat scoring with 25 points. They host AA Livingston and 8AA favorite Livingston Academy Thursday night. bobcatfan300
PC has a tough 4 games in a row...they beat Jackson Co. at JC, then had Clarkrange at home, then have Livingston at home Thursday and then one of the best AAA schools in White Co. on Monday. They played the best game I've seen the girls play at PC in 20 years last night.
UCSportsFan
Coach Smith is the coach of the year in the state of Tn thus far. He's done a great job up there with the girls program and Matt Ferrell continues to do a great job with the middle school teams. Having said that it still comes down to the girls performing when it counts and they have done that. What i like about this group of PC girls is that they play so hard during the game and then when its over they came over and hung out with the Jackson County girls after the game. Humble in victory..... a rare trait these days, how can you root against a team like this? Edited December 11, 2014 by UCSportsFan
