Toss up now.  All Single A teams left each have 1 loss.  Getting real interested now.  I agree  Grace and Summertown in the Final   At 7:00  tonight we all will know who makes it to the final at MTSU

Summertown 11 vs Peabody 4

Boyd made a good run at good run at Knox Grace today but came up a little short. Still showed a lot of heart today.

Summertown took Peabody's best shot but was able to rally back and get the Victory. Peabody was the underdog throughout the tournament but I think they showed that it wasn't a fluke that they made it to the Boro.

 

Tomorrow's Championship game should be a good one. I will have to stick with my original pick but Summertown has proven that they are certainly a contender. I hope both teams have a game to remember & good luck to each team.

Kudos to Peabody who did not consider themselves an underdog.  Not bad for a small town public  school with no open enrollment; no recruiting; and not much money (ha).  Just good kids who love the game.  They lose two players to graduation, so perhaps they can make another run next season.  Congrats to all the teams, coaches and parents who made it this far.  There IS crying in baseball...but there's no better place to do it than Murfreesboro.

Congratulations to the Summertown Eagles. Best "public class A" in the state! No recruits..... except for kids down the street in a town population under 1,000.

 

 Its so sad that the kids from small town usa get no respect from the tssaa by placing recruiting schools in the same classification. Money does a lot to keep them where they don't belong. It will never change, so in my opinion public schools should raise a fund to recognize their "best team" in all sports!

 

Oh well, tssaa got nearly  weeks payroll from my family over the week, and prevented my son from walking at graduation only to slap him in the face at the big house. But hey.... what an experience huh

LOL!!!!!! All that whining won't get little Johnny his State Championship Ring. We're gonna design one up, send him over to Knoxville and we'll let him try one on for a short period of time.

 

GEEZ! No need for this crap. Great effort by both teams to battle their way this far. One team got around the bases a few more times than the other. I'm sure you weren't saying those things after the bottom of the 1st when you scored 5 runs...
