UpperCumberlandMan
Upperman is a solid team. Siegel has a slightly above average offense and a TERRIBLE defense. Comparing scores is a dangerous business because you have no idea how Siegel came to score those 30. They also gave up 49, so what good did scoring 30 accomplish if you still lost by 3 scores. Cookeville should be pumped for thus game. Unbeaten on their own field against Blackman in conditions that favor them. It's a huge test for the Cavs; they win this game and they prove to the rest of the state that they are for real CHS 34 UHS 26, CHS 50 Siegel 19....Siegel is horribel for 6a. UpperCumberlandMan
21_7 half, almost same as vs Upperman. Lets hope CHS has a second half like that game.
Blaze45
Blackman posted a good win last night against a pretty strong Cookeville team. They will be a good program moving forward in this district. Good luck to them on the rest of their season. As for the Blaze time to get back to work and focus on some fundamental things we did not do as well as we should. . Go Blaze

As for the Blaze time to get back to work and focus on some fundamental things we did not do as well as we should. . Go Blaze Blackman got back to what it does best last night. I think their passing game can be very effective when they have a strong running game to lean on. Loved that they got into some heavy sets, hope that is a sign of things to come. Came away from this game with even more respect for Cookeville than I had previously. U dismissed claims from their fans that they could go 8-2; they will def. have a good chance to do that if they can find a way to shore up that run defense and be more effective passing down the field. Also think they could stand to use Angel more, he us a big play waiting to happen. Johnson was kept in check mist of the night but still got over 100 yards so not sure there will be many games this year where he is truly shut down. Going to probably have over 2,000 yards and a chance at finalist spot for Mr. Football

If the transfer was #5 he did see some playing time. Good arm, great runner and tough to bring down.

Blaze45
YES #6 got the start, and he a couple good runs and has a pretty good arm. He didn't seem to have enough protection in the pocket as they collapsed fairly quick. He gets a good stout line he could be very dangerous.
