85warrior
I stand corrected -- Luna best player in the gym in White Co tonight. However, she is IMO 3rd best PG in district behind Carlton for Cumberland & Gwynn for Cookeville. Nice win for White Co. Congrats to Cookeville and Cumberland on their wins as well. White better than I expected. Warren, Stone & Rhea all have some work to do. Better move us up to 2nd or 3rd. Good job Warriorettes!
summit
White Co biggest test coming up . Pickett Co will be best team we have played by far . summit
By the way , Cumberland Co beats Clarkrange at home by 38 . Clarkrange has one of their weaker teams . If White Co can handle their press . we have a shot .
Kentucky7
D(istrict) Day: DEC 11th: Never said Warren would but IF anyone can in this District it will be Cookeville to ground the Jets. 7 guns - 2 backup guns and 1 very big Big - wingspan like a 747. Cookeville - lots of slashers/hustlers/fundiamentalist - 2 bigs can play - and a Bomber. Cookeville hopes to ground the Jets but unlikely. Would love to see Jets loose 2 in a row as Blackmon next up. White - tough game with Pickett - if they win, come the 11th, they'll be full of confidence, swag, and feeling fierce like Tigerette teams of seasons past. Destiny is in their own hands. Warren - 2 should be easy wins needed to get to what all hope is a barn burner on the 11th. If not motivated, Lady Pioneers leave Sparta sad and receive their own sticker for effort. Either winner moves to a solid 3rd in D6. Stone - rumor has it that some athletes are leaving CC for Stone for "issues" - no idea what that means. Stone 1-2 years away from being a true threat to all. Rhea - basketball drought in Evensville - at no time they play anyone in D6 will they have the best athlete in the gym. summit
Pickett Co went to the state last year . White Co will have to get better to win . Showed improvement last game . If i was a aaa coach , i would never play a teams . You have nothing to gain , everything to lose .
6aaaFan
Any Predictions on tonight's games? I've got 1. Warren over Siegal in a low scoring close game. Siegal's guards will have trouble. Warren will shoot the ball much better. 2. Cookeville over York by 15+. York will shoot well at home, but won't be able to rebound with Cookeville. If Cookeville shoots well, could be 25+. 3. Pickett in a close one over White? Idk? Pickett drives the ball aggressively and has several players that can shoot it. White will have a hard time guarding Pickett. Maybe Pickett has a hard time guarding White too? Should be an up and down high scoring game. It will be a nice win for White if they can pull it off. Home court advantage might play a role. Pickett is definitely the favorite in their district. Good luck to all 6AAA teams tonight!
smpanthers
Your kidding, I saw the score and just assumed they beat up on them. What happened in the forth? just to much experience. The young stone team got rattled, and wee letting cville shoot to many wide open shots
summit
White Co had their chance tonight against Pickett . Pickett had 28 turnovers . We are just not very good right now . Shot bad the whole night . Guards need to improve their ball handling and passing . White Co should get better . By the way ,we beat this same team last year by 41 . We lost some players , but have some good players left . Edited December 8, 2015 by summit
Play 4 Fun
Lost some players?? If by some you mean your top 4 or 5....including by far the best player on the floor last year then yep...you're right. Also that same team beat Pickett by 12 later in the year last year. Be realistic. This team at white county isn't what it was last year because of the personally. Coach Dodgen does an excellent job and it won't be long before the people of white county are singing his praises. Cannon county wasn't by accident all those years. Good luck to WC the rest of the way
summit
I for one will give the coach a fair chance . We have one starter back and two girls that played as much as some of the starters . Don't think we are down as much as you think . Girls having trouble adjusting to new system . Time will tell .
Play 4 Fun
I agree. New systems are difficult to learn sometime. But, you have to remember that you had a very good team last year, but a large part of that was one very, very good player. I mean she did lead the Upper Cumberland in assists by a pretty decent margin and also was the leading scorer on White County by a pretty decent margin as well. That is not easily replaced. Add to that the fact that several other starters and key contributors also graduated and you could expect a learning curve for this year. Coach Dodgen will have this team turned around and playing extremely well by the tournament time. Always does. Good coaches know when their team needs to peak and he will make it happen.
