Typically coaches that win or  come is first place, second place  every year typically don't be  gettin "coach of year" honors , it usually goes to the feel good story"previous year looser" of the district. just a fact.. Finishing first or second every year is far more gratitfying for a coach than finishing last then have a decent season and getting "coach of the year.".

You're got to remember Haley had no Jolly , Jared ,Moore, Mitchell , Leftwich , and on  and on . Who do you think did a better job with the same kind of talent  he had . Won 29 games last year with no scholarship players . Tell me who's better coach than Haley . All of our great teams had 4 or 5  who played college ball , Tenn , Vandy , Va Tech , UAB , Tenn Tech . Haley had no players like that .

I agree, Haley did a good job, nobody could have gotten much more out of his girls. His team's won several big games without big name players.

We have had some good girls coaches no doubt but Dodgen has gotten

More out of this team than anyone expected.I think coming into the year people were hoping for a .500 team we lost a ton.Taylor who

Is absolutely lighting it up in college and a few more.Dodgen is the best coach I've seen in Sparta at in game adjustments sharp as a tack.I would love to see what he could do with some of the talent we have had in the past!Hope he is in it for the long haul cause he is a proven winner!

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
