Perhaps older Vikings fans can help me out but where does this rank among some of the worst halves in THS history? Goodness Crockett came prepared and wrote a 5-page essay on how to beat us apparently. Hoping we see a miracle and knowing the team it's possible so we'll see how it pans out in the 2nd half.

LOL...34-12 Crockett leads at half. No game plan on either side of the ball its absolutely embarrassing   .." D" don't have clue what to do 410 yards for crockett in first half as they are doing whatever they want . I will see what happens in the sec. half but i do believe this team has quit on Mays...i smell dissention in the ranks.

No I doubt that. I think Crockett has just outplayed us and we're giving up. No bueno

Maybe one day the coaches will wake up and play the best athletes instead of worrying about parents with money complaining to superintendent of schools (and yes I know for an absolute fact it's been done twice this year against a sophomore saying he shouldn't play just bc he is a sophomore which is the dumbest thing I've EVER heard). I don't care if it's a freshman whoever gets the job done should be out there. The defense is playing terrible tonight and of course they actually watched game film and figured out the one play we run to shuff up the middle. So it's just going to continue to get worse I'm afraid. And another year of dealing with this QB may just keep people from even coming. THS has NEVER been beat by Crockett. I'm embarrassed for them.

I know and I agree ...I saw this coming 3 years ago. Kids are not stupid..they know more than we give them credit for they know who should be playing and they know when coaching decisions get them beat.

I don't think it matters who played tonight. We just got outplayed and they played like they would never play another game

So 40-24. First ever loss for THS vs Crockett. First off, I'm proud of the 4th qtr and the play of #16. Second off, I think this ranks highly in one of our most embarrassing losses. Out played and we looked lost from the first snap. Just hope we show more life against MoWest

Crockett did to THS what I was thinking Sevier County would do to Tenn High.  Bad loss tonight.  Probably in the top 3 of the last decade or so.  The other two being the first round loss to Volunteer in '07 and the loss to Virginia High with the infamous 3rd down punt.  Something needs to change.  5-6 this year, first losing season in over 20 years...might be even worse next year.

SMH  .... I have to say that for me... this is by far the most embarrassing loss the Vikings have suffered in my 11 years of closely following this program!!! This is followed closely by the 7 to 56 BLOWOUT to Greenville in 2010 (which would have been MUCH worse had they not called the DAWG off in the early stages of the 3rd QT), and the VERY disappointing loss to Boone in the first round of the Playoffs in 2009 (aka Our Year). It's obvious that the coaching staff as well as the Viking players took this Pioneer team lightly and suffered a beat down as a result. I hear some on here trying to blame tonight's dog stomp on the players performance. But performance is only a reflection of preparation (at this level), and preparation is a reflection of leadership (or lack there of)!!!!!!! If this was at a higher level than high school football this coaching staff would be escorted to the door solely on tonight's performance of this team!! This team is not lacking of athletes, size, speed, ability, depth......... but we are struggling to stay 500 with a schedule with virtually 3 and one half teams on it (if we're being honest). Why is that???! I have always felt like this O cordinator was only as good as his best player year after year, but I now have to question the person that allows him to make these decisions that he makes (15 before 16).?? I could go on and on.... but now that they have unleashed the YOUNG dragon, we are all left shaking our heads and wondering..... what do they have on this guy to make him play 15 over 16........ !!!!!!!!!! I just dropped the mic...

Ahh well I am glad to see that some people opened their eyes and saw what happened when 16 went in and played more than 1 play at a time. He would be the sophomore that is being complained about because 15 is a junior his parents believe he should play in front of him even though this evening showed everyone that the younger guy is a much better QB all around. Like I said money and politics have a lot to do with it. And every time 16 gets to play a little the administration gets called. It's simply a joke these coaches let the parents tell them who to play. They don't have anything over on the OC but I do know again for an absolute fact that he doesn't pick who plays QB, Mays does. But I am proud of the way they played in the 4th quarter and some may not like my opinion but if 16 had been in the entire game we would have won. The defense played better. Running different plays got them fired up. I guarantee another quarter or two and they could have came back from the 14 point deficit. Hopefully they will see they need to prepare for every team equally from now on.
