TN Girls All Star Teams

I am not sure who is in charge of letting the coaches know about the game as far as who is playing in it and when it is, but Hardin Valley was not made aware of it until this past week (a week after the game was played)!  My daughter is one of the 3 players chosen from HVA, and she would have loved to have played!  She does see it as an honor to be chosen and is actually very disappointed that she missed it.

So you are saying that our coach was contacted? He is a young, first time coach from Ireland, so maybe he didn't understand? Not sure, but I assure you that the 3 girls would have been there to play and would have played their hearts out, if they would've known. I hope this doesn't affect the future HVA all star players for this miscommunication.

I think that the coaches nominate the players so if that it the case, I think the coach would have to have known about it.  I could be wrong on that, maybe Big G or Russ can weigh in on the process some more or correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Sorry to hear those three Hardin Valley were not made aware of the match info as I'm know they would have had a great time and to be recognized for their achievement.

Can't speak for everyone, but the ballots were e mailed out to all of the THSSCA members about a week before the state tournament.  They were due on the Sunday after the tournament, and then the teams were announced Monday or Tuesday (can't really remember) via e mail to the members.

 

While I am involved with the THSSCA, this is one thing that I do not help out with, so I can't speak to the exact selection process.
