Summertown played Community a good game, close until midway through the 4th, lost by 10.. It's not a shoe in for "2 teams from 9A" to make the state tournament. I figure Summertown or Perry County will host a Substate and both teams are tough at home.

Exactly. I know Houston Co cannot touch either of those two, home or away. Forrest does play Summertown good, but in a game of that magnitude at Summertown, one would have to give them (SHS)

I wouldn't say that Houston County couldn't touch either PC or Summertown. Those 2 big posts players can be a handful. Yes, Summertown beat them both times but beating a team the 3rd time is never easy.

Just threw South Green and PC out there as I know both are good because I seen them last year and knew they were doing well. No disrespect to Meigs or Hampton. Just go from what I seen in the Boro last year. I know A is tough state wide. Very tough in West TN.

They are doing great.  5AAA is the weakest it has been in a long time.  Not taking away anything from EH.  I love how they play fundamental unselfish ball, well coached and very smart.  That being said they are not a top team on the State stage by a long shot.  They have no post player, just play sound team defense.  Too bad there are not many high level coaches in this area that know how to make adjustments, read mismatches and take advantage of size and speed.  EH is lucky to have Tony as their coach.  Maybe if HH would quit poaching their talent you would see EH in the State Finals one day.

 

People are so sensitive on Coach T.  Cracks me up.  It would be a lot more enjoyable, and a lot more people would add their thoughts (which is the purpose of the site), if folks did not get their undies in a bundle when they disagree.  Must be something in the water up in M County....

This is Bouldin's second nomination. I hope she wins. She is smooth as butter. She's just fundamentally sound all around. Great shooter, even better at driving to the basket and creating plays... she has carried that team of hers.

Bouldin is a good player for Van Buren . Have played the weakest teams all year long . Fair Jackson Co team beat them twice rather easy . Van Buren made a mistake not playing better teams . Will hurt them down the road . Wish them well .

Yea and that's RIDICULOUS she is the best A player regardless of TSSAA popularity contest. Just a shame the BEST player don't get recognized.
