2016 Region 4-5A

Recommended Posts

I'm going with Rhea as 1. The owls I think will surprise people on offense if they keep those jv players from last year on the field. Might even be better on O. McMinn should be a good defensive team but not deep. Their O is a ? Cleveland has athletes and plenty in the jr and sophomore class but I still think they are a year away. WV. The have talent. Should be deeper in the d line this year a few new faces. LBs are capable. The skill players are very solid. The O line is still the ? Plus cut down in the giveaways. So I'm going with

Rhea

Owls

Cleveland

McMinn ( until WV beats them they haven't )

WV

I admit I picked in July most started picking in April. Then changed their minds. I stayed with mine. Minus 17 injuries to Cleveland I was pretty close.

DISTRICT 4-5A YOU HAVE A NEW DISTRICT CHAMPION IN RHEA COUNTY! PA AND THE OWLS WILL PASS THE TORCH THAT WAS HELD FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. NOW THAT THE OWLS ARE MOVING UP TO 6A YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO OWN THE DISTRICT BECAUSE IM TAKING MY BUDDIES FROM CLEVELAND WITH ME AND WE GONNA SHAKE THINGS UP IN #BIGBOYFOOTBALL..

MY OWLS BOUT TO MAKE THIS PLAYOFF RUN AND SEE HOW FAR WE WILL GO AND WIN WHEN IT REALLY COUNTS!!

I think Rhea, Ooltewah, and McMinn have the best shot at making it to Round 2. I thought Walker Valley would have been far more competitive with Ooltewah than they were, and McMinn was a much better team than reflected by the final score last night. Rhea County just executed their offensive and defensive game plans and McMinn had no answer. Ooltewah is playing their best football of the season so far, and Campbell County just can't seem to "catch" a break here lately. I see Ooltewah handling them well. Lenoir City best Clinton 20-17 a few weeks ago. Those scores added together don't even come close to how many Rhea put up on them AT Clinton. Unless we come out flatter than a saltine cracker, I don't see us losing that one. McMinn defeated Oak Ridge, Farragut's only loss this year, and run that Wing-T offense that the Admirals have struggled against in the past. Walker Valley, if they come out fired up and ready to go, could very well win, but I'm going to have to see it to believe it after seeing them get dismantled by the Owls.

who's chances do you like better: WV @ Oak Ridge or McMinn @ Farragut?

McMinn over Farragut. However if Tee is still not healthy and if Walker Valley can get behind ORs secondary for some big plays and WV gives their defense some breaks rest. WV might have a chance too.

    • See that’s where you’re wrong my friend. If I was West, I would have made sure y’all stopped talking all that nonsense about my family months ago. You’d be scared to see my face or hear my name. You’ve got the wrong man. My kids still go to trousdale county schools and plan on staying. Lets be the Mr. Police you’re supposed to be and stop causing more problems than there already is.

    • Congratulations to Coach Runyon. He seemed to do a good job when I watched his teams play. He didn't coach like he was ready to retire. With that being said... both coaching positions in the same district open... which one of these jobs is the best job and why?  also, it is a coincidence that they both leave at the same time...
