But wouldn't the fact that since WV gets three times as many foul calls on them that that is a detriment to OC's game. Takes them out of their rhythm and also gives WV more points by putting a great shooting team on the free throw line. So even though OC didn't execute, the refs essentially are giving WV the best opportunity to win...

I agree with you that they're given a better opportunity to win. I'm not going to deny that but when you have a chance to win the game on top of all that, you have to capitalize. We had a five point lead in the 4th with a chance to make it seven and blew the lead in less than a minute. We had the ball with 16 seconds left in regulation and a tie game with a chance to win and turned it over.

 

The only game I'll say the refs had a major impact on was the Championship of Lyons Club Tourney but that game didn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

But just getting back to the Region tournament, I do think OC is good enough to win this whole thing. If they can just get over the hump of losing in the first round, I think they can make some noise.

Just hearsay, but i call Big Name like schools that are ranked annually or contend for title annually or programs known for producing good D1 products

The same way Westview only beat them by 1 a few games back. Dyersburg is not a bad team, they are well coached and have some talented guys on that team. Kudos to Mahaffy and those kids

Dyersburg must have slowed the game down and held the ball some like they did at westview
