Listen Cookiepuss, I enjoy great basketball. I didn't "through " (assuming you ment threw) out any wrong information. I follow them, yes. A supporter? Somewhat. Home? No. But now I have a new reason to support them, to see them send your tail home red and to see you mad online. Have a beautiful Lord's day.

Yes you did you said PC thumped LA twice which is false dumbdonkey! You made the smart comment about "that would be illegal". I figured you supported them since you commented endorsing them. I just hate people trying to pick a team that is better based off of a 3rd party team of who beat who worst. I just wanted more info on PC other then they were good.

I think Swipes was pointing out that SG defeated Gatlinburg Pittman twice. Once by one at GP and the next time by 11 at home. GP is very good and only got better as the year went on. They only lost by 4 to Elizabethton in the sectionals. South Greene has played a TOUGH schedule and won. 3 losses to Morristown West is nothing to hang your head about.

Sorry. Thought I was dealing with an adult, but then I read dumbdonkey and went back to 4th grade. Best of luck. Thank the Lord for the mute button when dealing with fools.

Your mistaken UC, no way they get by Middleton no way.

Playing on Wednesday then being able to sleep in their own beds and having a day off will be huge for Pickett County. You'll see and when the dust settles and the gold ball is back in 7A where it belongs be sure to get back on and here and eat some crow buddy! Haha

Lot's of west vs. the rest talk on here. Most of the folks here (west) think that Middleton is unbeatable, with the exception of a few northwesterners that think Gibson County has a good shot to beat them (Middleton) on Friday, which would make them the favorite. I think that there are several teams with a solid argument. Pickett Co. plays in a murderous district, and has scheduled out of district opponents to prepare them for the next week. South Greene showed last season the confidence and ability to beat anyone, anywhere, anytime...and have continued throughout this season. Nobody has mentioned Perry County or Community...I've seen Perry County, and they can flat play. If the "situation" doesn't badly affect them, the winner of this game won't go quietly. Van Buren and Harriman I know nothing about...may be the strongest two there, but I doubt it.

I said early last year that Middleton was awesome and would win it all, then Deja Faulkner's ACL injury sort of leveled the field, but my opinion was that they still had a very good shot. I'm one of the few westerners that doesn't think that Middleton is as good as last season, Perry is still there and may be better, but no Avery Joy running the show...they got a decent draw, and may still bring it home, but if they had Pickett and South Greene in their side of the bracket I'd take the field against them this time around.

Pickett County wins this game by 15+. They play tough teams all year long in one of the toughest districts in the state. South Greene always has quality teams but i believe PC is this years Gold Ball winner. :popcorneater:

That's a VERY Bold prediction if you think they will win by 15+. Have you seen SG this year? 4 starters all got playing time at the glass house last year with 2 of them being starters and one being a freshamn all-state player and miss basketball finalist this year. Who I'm excited to see is the true freshman Wykle who on any given night can have 20+ points and was also named a freshman all American in volleyball. This year's team I believe is better than last year and have a little more depth. In their sectional game another freshman Franklin who comes off the bench had 21 pts and 13 reb.

If PC wins it won't be because they played a tougher schedule either.

South Greene is a worthy opponent, a very well respected team no doubt.  PC is just too good this year in my opinion but anything can happen in the glass house.  Defense always wins these tough games and PC is one of the best i've seen on defense in a long time.  That is why i'm predicting a win, not because of how much either team can score but how good PC is on defense.   :popcorneater:

Are they better this year than last year in your opinion? SG hasn't given up more than 46 points in the post season so it might be D battle instead of offense like most people think. I know last year at the glass house SG had a better D than PC holding Middleton to 59 pts compared to 73 from PC and that was with Lamb their best D player in foul trouble and only playing 17 min.

    • good points. I guess the question is do the coaches need to be out of the classroom and get paid for just coaching. maybe move the coaching jobs to just coaching and no teaching. that would open up the coaching ranks to some good coaches that are not qualified to teach. Then you could do contracts and pay them whatever you want to pay them. move the positions to contracts.  Just like college. Thoughts?
