I see where Heritage Middle and Maryville Junior High play tonight out at Heritage. Should be a good game and hope I can break away and go see the kids play.

Maryville 35 Heritage 22  The second unit played half the game tonight for Maryville. Good experience for all the boy's tonight. I saw some good prospects especially number 7. I talk to a lot of people that have just decided not to let their kids play football because of all the head injury scare and I can see why the numbers are down not only at Maryville but everywhere. It's so bad that the youth teams are having to go to Knoxville to play now days and I could see some of this eventually trickle down to the higher levels. I was impressed with the junior high tonight and hard to believe they got off to a rocky start at the beginning of the season but I saw a good group tonight. To be honest the score tonight could of been 60 to 0 but letting everyone play was a great choice.
