I doubt it, brunetti called 3 years ago and y'all didn't won't no smoke. Especially next year everyone comes back so I know MJ won't schedule nothing.

Maybe we will schedule actual competition the next few years, Oakland, Brentwood, Ravenwood, etc... Lil 3a PC isn’t exactly the fiercest team out there.

Another excuse I see! Three years ago it was the gate but MJ scheduled Glenciff instead. Now its lil 3A no competition make up y'all mind.

I’m not a fan of the scheduling they do, why the heck would I be, but my first option as a smart 6a coach would not be a 3a school.

In recent years (past 5) has MJ played what I consider a really good team in a non region game?  Being a 6A school you have the D2AAA teams that are having to travel long distances just to fill a regular season schedule.  Would MJ ever consider playing MBA, BA or Ensworth?

Like White Owl said the statement was based off the current staffs . CR has never loss to a metro school.  CR plays Indy , Whitehaven , Ravenwood, Brentwood year in and out why the heck would they "run" from PC? Playoff time they are battle tested and ready to go. They don't schedule republic with an ready weak district schedule. These are facts once again . You pick and choose what to talk about . 

East Nasty you have to stop the madness, you guys do less with more. You can't talk about lumped up when y'all loss to a less talented Fairview team. And I would love to see any other metro team line up against Oakland and see a different outcome .

You get butthurt and offended when the truth hits you hard . Do y'all have a great program at PC ? Yes but y'all do what's expected year in and out nothing more . Do y'all have a great program at East? Of course not , the kids keep y'all a float but the coaches is atrocious. Does Hillsboro have a good program? Yes but they can't get over the hump of Beech in the playoff time, they are well prepared but always falls short. But none of those programs want to be recognized for coming in 3rd place when they should have the most gold balls in metro .

No Metro team has 80 kids. They might put 80 names on their eligibility so they can get more assistants, but they sure  don't have 80 at practice.

Glencliff had 12 out last week before school actually started. Hopefully they have picked up more this week. Lord  knows Dilfer will be  trying to  score 100 that  week zero to make  himself and the  Lipscomb fans feel better.

Heard Antioch had about 20 last  week.

Overton has had about 40

McGavock 35-40

Hunters Lane 20-25

Whites Creek 20 or so.

It is like this at every school except for a couple. And it is  no surprise that those schools have  gotten their numbers by raiding the  lower tier schools of their best players. As long as Metro continues to  allow kids to go wherever the  disparity will continue. The days of playing for the 'community school" are unfortunately behind us..

The past 5? Cane Ridge, Franklin, Ravenwood. I think it would be an interesting matchup with D2AAA, not sure TP would do it though.

A few tidbits on coaching in Metro

 

I think everyone that  knows football realizes that East is the  king of underachievers. Never has anyone done  less with more. The  lack of discipline and fundamental preparation kill them in games where the  talent level is more equal. No way they should have lost to  Fairview. Chris Hughes just out-coached them.

The staff at PC does indeed have  some fracture. They may work for  Brunetti, but that doesn't mean they believe in him. And that  is straight out of their mouths not mine. That being said, PC does indeed play anyone. Never seen them turn down some  really good teams. Look back through the years. MBA, CPA, Mount Juliet, etc. They will take on anybody and I have mad respect for that.

Overton's student population has turned  over so rapidly the  last 5 years. They just don't get the level of athlete they used to. It will really begin to show up this year in football. Probably 2-3 more  years in baseball. They ain't the  tea sippers  anymore.

McGavock has 2000+ students but can only get 40-45 to play football. Gore does a great job of teaching the game, but just can't keep his zoned kids in the  building.

Antioch/Whites Creek Glencliff/ have had multiple coaches the last few years and apathy has taken over.\

Hunters Lane hasn't had any talent in the  building since Campbell left.

Hillwood was a .500 team just because of the  coach's son and now both are gone.

Hillsboro=FItzgerald. The  name alone brings players to him. His  son brings the rest. Coaching link LOL

Cane Ridge- Always had talent out there. Woods got them  to buy in. Of course, the  number of kids suddenly appearing in purple  from other places is staggering.

Oh but I’m sure Mr, PearlCohn over everybody thinks otherwise, Brunetti is the end all be all of high school coaches lol thanks for that tidbit it’s kinda comical hearing that even his own players aren’t buying into his “system”.
