How many think there will even be football in the fall. I hope there is but I would not be surprised if there is no sports until a drug or vaccine can be proven effective. I have heard schools will even be on modified schedules. I am not sure fans will be at games or even allowed. Thoughts? Wishes?

Chris Fowler was on to something yesterday.  He talked about:

1.)  The Season Starts on Time

2.)  Playing an abbreviated season starting later than normal.  See my post about the Coronavirus Emergency Plan on another thread.

3.)  Moving the start of football into the spring time and playing a spring football schedule that runs into the summer.

Howdoitknow I couldn't believe it either. Crazy how much things have changed over a little bit of time.

EastNasty I am surprised there was not more interest in the job.

I think this virus thing killed the search. I really believed they Administration was going outside of the county.

The school year just officially ended an hour ago.  East better hire someone so that they can come in and get started as if the 2020 football season is going to happen.  Right now from all indications that don't have a head coach nor do they have any coaches in the building.  Summer scheduling, whether it be in person or via social media, is going to be a chore.

This is a long process for both whites creek and East, maybe it’s the board that has slowed the process.
East Nasty don’t talk about no ones coaching , there wasn’t a guy on staff capable or knowledgeable enough to even stiff a head coaching job . EN has had some of the best talent yet falls short every year. why ? Because of coaching . So cut the sour grapes talk on other coaches . Maybe if you got certified and didn’t have to do campus security or work 3rd shift at another job you could become a HC.  I agree with the previous post it’s guys like you that got Waite in this situation . Good luck to East on their search either Stewart or Moreno will do good with the right help. Both are good guys and great coaches and well respected

Maybe my second time ever agreeing with you. Not a good hire in my opinion, but I love it for Pearl Cohn tho...lol

He was the OC at Hillsboro last year.  They were one of the great questions across middle Tennessee football.

They hung 40 points on Pearl-Cohn which was the most they allowed and 36 on Maplewood which was the second most they allowed (Pearl-Cohn scoring 44 was the only team to put up a higher number on the Panthers defense).

They also scored 7, 14, 13, 15, 14, and 0 in over half of the 2019 season games.

Ensworth

Gallatin

Cane Ridge

Shelbyville

Those games were very understandable.  Those teams were rock solid.

Hillwood

Hunters Lane

Those were the two games that made people scratch their heads.

    • I have always known Clinton and the football team to be diverse. Not saying its like Knox but I would say more so than you're leading onto. Maybe more kids are wanting to play for a minority coach like that OL that commityed to Colorado over UT due to Deion "looking like him"- Jordan Seaton
    • It’s just the facts. Not sure how else to put it.
    • As a parent, this was always my worst nightmare.  I take it for granted every time I get in the car and took it for granted most of the time when one of my sons was on the wrestling mat.  Sometimes things are not "going to be fine". Jacob was wrestling in a Greco match at Iron Man when he was thrown.  He landed on his head and neck and shattered his C6 and C7.  His spinal cord was offset which is not good. He is currently at Vanderbilt Childrens in Nashville and has undergone a big surgery to brace his neck with pins and screws and realign his spinal cord, but damage has been done.  He is currently not able to move his legs or control his fingers.  I visited him yesterday and this young man has a long row to hoe. I'm asking the wrestling community here in TN to lift his family up in prayer and come together to help.  He will likely have to go to Shephard Center in Atlanta which is going to require his mom and dad to take off work, travel, eat out, etc. Jacob does have some feeling in his lower extremities, so we are praying he will be able to recover.  Time will tell and God is in control. If you are unable to donate $5-10, please offer up prayers for Jacob to heal completely and for patience and strength for his parents as they are no doubt dealing with a worst nightmare. • If you think the real players playing at Bearden are your typical Bearden kids then you live under a rock.
    • Reado came and then Smith left so he changed his mind. Where is the coordinator at? Cental with Lane?
