William Blount hosts Science Hill

The Govs are coming into this game on a three game losing skid and looking to rebound. The Govs are 1-2 in the region with an impressive win at DB and 2 close losses to Jeff Co and Bearden. Science Hill is 0-3 in the region and has been beaten handily in all of their region games thus far. However, their 3 region games have been against the best teams in the region, so its hard to gauge how good or bad they are.

I'd like to say that WB should win this game, but I cant get a good feeler on this one. Thoughts?

This game could give us an idea about how a potential Eliz vs Alcoa playoff game could look.

Then a strange thing happened.

The house whirled around two or three times and rose slowly through the air. Dorothy felt as if she were going up in a balloon.

The north and south winds met where the house stood, and made it the exact center of the cyclone. In the middle of a cyclone the air is generally still, but the great pressure of the wind on every side of the house raised it up higher and higher, until it was at the very top of the cyclone; and there it remained and was carried miles and miles away as easily as you could carry a feather.

It was very dark, and the wind howled horribly around her, but Dorothy found she was riding quite easily. After the first few whirls around, and one other time when the house tipped badly, she felt as if she were being rocked gently, like a baby in a cradle.

Toto did not like it. He ran about the room, now here, now there, barking loudly; but Dorothy sat quite still on the floor and waited to see what would happen.

I was looking at the scores from last year compared to the scores from this year, and it is clear that this team has made some big improvements over last season. They have been competitive in every game except Alcoa. They have come up short, but this team could easily have one loss at this point. This looks like their best chance to get a win this year. The teams get tougher from here on out, Hardin Valley being the next best chance at a victory.

Here are two teams with similar records. Both have some great players. It's all about perspective. SH is trending down with disappointment while wb is trending up with ifs and buts. The home field officiating crew and THE KID make the difference tonight. Govs 35-28.

The biggest surprise this year has been the WB defense. Last year we gave up 37 or more points in every region game. So far, the most points we've given up in a region game was 28 and the only team to score more than 40 has been Alcoa. The best part is there are a lot of young guys playing defense so they will only get better.

    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
