Maryville will soon overtake Dobyns-Bennett for All-Time TN Wins

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned recently, but Maryville is only 4 games back from Dobyns Bennett for the all times football wins in the state of Tennessee.  Conceivably, Maryville could surpass DB for the wins lead during the playoffs.  If DB loses to Smyrna in the first round, and Maryville wins the state championship then Maryville will be have the lead for all time football wins.  If Maryville loses in the state championship then they will be tied with DB at season's end.

 

I've tracked Maryville's ascension up the all time win ranks since 1995 and it is pretty astounding how fast they've climbed the ranks.  In 1995, Maryville was 8th all time in wins and was 86 games back (see below).

Don't tell the folks at DB that. They'll straight up crap their panties. Their "wins records" in different sports are all they have to hang their hats on. They are as defensive about them as a helicopter parent is about their socially awkward kid.
