The Union guy didn't check into the scorers table seeing it was Father Ryan's turn to check in first. They will both be in the same weight class come next month at the Father Ryan tournament.

I was just told that UC sent out the head coaches son to wrestle Eli King.  They shook hands and then UC announced they were going to forfeit to King before the match started.  Why drive 21/2 hours for your best kid to receive a forfeit and it would not change the outcome of the dual?  This is the type of BS & unprofessional behavior that gives wrestling a black eye.

I'm not sure what the behind the scenes situation was...but if they shook hands, it didn't happen in the middle of the circle. UC's 152 bumped up to 160.

If I recall correctly, Micah Ervin lost to King last year by tech fall. UC could've lost both 152 and 160 if he stayed at his weight...so he bumped up.
