How about Centennial coming out of region 6. The team is only 24-3 with loses coming to Wilson Central, MBA and Blackman with the loses to Blackman and MBA being single digit losses while missing 3 starters. Centennial also beat Bartlett in the finals of the Huntsville High Dual tournament a few weeks back.

They travel to Summit tomorrow night. That'll shed more light on the landscape of region 6.

Ill take it a little further and go a little more in depth. Ill pick region top 2, then rank those 16 teams, then pick top 8, 4, 2, and finally a champion. Im gonna go out on a limb a couple times so play nice! Also ps just because im putting them 1-16 doesnt mean i think they will finish that way. The 1-16 is now, the top 8, 4, 2, etc is how i think they fare at state. 2 different playing fields. Anyways, enjoy :)

Nice analysis Bump.  I like the Hardin Valley pick over Gibbs. Riverdale could also surprise some.  I don't see Tennessee getting by Cleveland though. 

 

If Wilson and Tennessee win their Region and Cleveland is region runner up, chances are (since Bradley will get the #1 seed) one of them will meet second round.  That's going to be a rough way back through the consolation bracket for someone.

thank you. Like i said i was going out on a limb on some. Never said how long of a limb it would be! I just think that Tennessee at 100% can push anyone to their limit.

      I used to think like that many many moons ago.  I wondered the same questions but learned that it is just not that easy.  Hiring assistant coaches can be complicated at times.  It takes a few years for HC’s to get who they feel is right for their system.  Couple that with good assistant coaches getting better jobs at times and leaving your program. More to it than some think.  I think you have a good coach up there and time will tell that story.

      You’re right, I shouldn’t jump the gun on it. Hopefully it isn’t related to the sports programs, because it’ll end up affecting a lot of innocent kids who just enjoy playing sports.

      I totally agree but just don’t want to see people jumping the gun by insinuating it was for athletic reasons. Nobody knows at the moment except for those involved in the incident itself and those investigating.
