saw4ND
Tough to know how ND will look this year. They graduated a bunch, including their very reliable goal scorer, their keeper and 3 out of 4 from their back line. They have a good core returning, but they will be thin with no room for injury. They are going to need a few freshman and sophomores to step up big time to have a chance to get back to the Boro. As for McCallie (since they seem to be the subtopic of this thread)....if they don't win State this year, they need to get a new coach. They are freakin' loaded. BigG
Anything know about Greenville boys this year? They seemed to be youthful last year in the state tourney. Lots of speed up front. White House teams are not too shabby. I know White House looked strong against Father Ryan last night and Heritage has yet to have a scrimmage, but hearing good things coming from their camp. Going on a limb: Public wins it this year. We would like to avoid White House in sections if at all possible! And your "out on a limb" prediction will certainly have a higher percent chance of being correct NEXT year, for sure.

It is looking like a strong Limb Mr. G When was the last time a public won the A/AA boys side?

nashvillebound
A bounce away? Unless that bounce would have led to 2 goals they were more that a bounce away from the Championship match. If McCallie is unable to get it done this year they will be in the wilderness for a while...MBA is youngish with only 4 seniors. However, the junior class is ten deep and loaded with three and four year veterans who know how to beat McCallie. We are looking forward to making the McCallie bus trips back to Chattanooga (from Nashville and then from Murfreesboro) long indeed.Roll Red But McCallie was a bounce away from making state title game last year, and almost to a man bringing everyone back this year, including probably best returning scorer in state plus 2-3 very high level midfielders. fernando9
Nashvillebound, You are correct ... meant bounce away from a shot at state title (a tie with MBA where anything could then happen). Meant no disrespect. Watched that game and title game and amazing how tight all games were in the division. If you guys get it done and beat McCallie through state this year, that will be impressive. Knoxville area is really down this year, but McCallie has run through some better Knox teams pretty easily in scrimmages to start the season. How will CBHS be this year? Most of their good players still around or gone?
reaction
Boyd scrimmages CCS today. Should be another good workout for both teams.
