The girl from perry county can't remember name can fill it up when she gets going had 39 vs Loretto last night

Her name is Chynia Brooks (spelling?)... I believe I saw a post where she had 39 points and 15 rebounds, and had several steals as well... I watched her put up 37 I believe, in the abdiatrict tournament game last week.. Very active and very athletic.

Surviving so far are:

Region 1:  Hampton, Northview Academy**, South Greene**, Cloudland

Region 2: Meigs County, Oneida, Grace Christian, Wartburg

Region 3: CSAS, Silverdale, Van Buren Co., Marion County

Region 4: Watertown, Pickett County**, Clarkrange**, Goodpasture

Region 5: Huntland**, Moore County**, Forrest, Community

Region 6: Perry County, Richland, Loretto, Summertown

Region 7: Dresden and Huntingdon

Region 8: Middleton**, Trinity Christian**, Decatur Co-Riverside, Memphis Mitchell

I put ** beside the 8 that I think will be playing in Murfreesboro. What is everyone else's thoughts?

In regions 7/8 I thought that earlier in the season region 7 would send two teams...with Huntingdon's run to the finals and Burkley making adjustments to improve his Middleton squad, you just may be right. No disrespect intended, but I think that either of the reg. 8 teams is the favorite vs. Huntingdon, and if Middleton/Dresden are paired that Middleton comes out on top.

Middleton has recently began situational subbing on offense/defense to keep the players fresh and out of foul trouble...you'd better have some slick guards and a deep bench to handle their intense pressure, and two or three bigs in the post.

TCA has been portrayed as a one woman show...not so. Their point is the fuel that runs the engine, but the supporting cast can play too. Post players aren't spectacular but are steady, and if you leave #23 open she'll make you pay. TCA/Middleton will be a toss up...TCA was the better team early and led the entire game in dist. before the Tigers' pressure wore them down, and they now have faced the "new" scheme by Middleton. The Lady Tigers' guards shot the ball very well in that game, but #20 didn't play well, so the next chapter should be great.

Against the Region 7 opponents, I think that Middleton poses the bigger problem of the two...athletes all over (even on the bench) and three formidable post players are hard to account for in a one game setting. I think that TCA wins a close one to send Middleton on the road, but I think that the best chance to get to state for region 7 goes through Trinity.

Mitchell should have beat them...TCA can't hang with a athletic team like Mitchell

So what was last night Einstein? 2-1 vs an athletic Middleton team and also beat a pretty athletic Gibson County and Westview team. And if you're keeping count Power Center was athletic! They were horrible basketball players but athletic.

Now that we're down to the final 16 teams, things are becoming a little clearer on who can advance.

from regions 1 & 2  there are South Greene, Hampton, Meigs Co., and Oneida

from regions 3 & 4  there are Van Buren Co, Marion Co, Clarkrange, and Pickett Co

from regions 5 & 6  there are Forrest, Moore Co, Perry Co., and Summertown

from regions 7 & 8  there are Dresden, Huntrington, Trinity Christian and Middleton

MY FINAL '8'

from regions 1 & 2    I like South Greene and Meigs Co. to advance

from regions 3 & 4     I like Clarkrange and Pickett Co to advance

from regions 5 & 6    I like Moore Co. and Forrest to advance

from regions 7 & 8    I like Huntington and Middleton to advance

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
