I have to say between SHS, Loretto, and Perry County, district 12A is goingto be very fun to watch this year.....Will have to meet up in Summertown when yall come over there

Nobody talking bout Huntingdon. Now in district 11a. Don't ask me how! Anyhow the Fillies are very deep and talented. Very athletic and fast. Hopefully talented enough to overcome very average coaching! Saw them scrimmage Lexington last week. Beat the lady Tigers by 14!

Super weak district will be a cake walk for Huntington.  Region will be much tougher playing SHS, Perry and Loretta.  Huntington will be a contender for sure.

Dont look now but Moore County has a big date coming up December 28th AT the Eagles Nest in Summertown. I wouldnt count that as a win just yet. Remember what happened last time MC came to Stown....just saying

Remember what happened the time before that when they were fully healthy.

Who was Summertown missing?

Summertown didn't have the two 8th graders for the first matchup (I know, 8th graders?) but by adding those two, Summertown got better penetrating on offense, which opened up the 3 point and got much more aggressive on defense. Also, for the Christmas matchup, you had zero specific game planning for teams, which makes a difference. With all of that being said, I know MC not having Hawkins was a hugh factor, especially losing her with basically days to prepare to play without her. First game MC +13, second game Summertown +11. I would expect a very good game this year.

Lets not forget the new regions as well.....Moore County is now in Region 4A. SHS and Moore County arent in the same substate anymore. Both could end up in The Boro

Yeah how lucky is the new Region4a to have to go east in sub-state. Now they will have to get through Clarkrange and Pickett Co. among others.

Moore County should win the whole thing. They may not lose looking at their schedule during the regular season. The upper Cumberland teams will be much better than the teams they will face during the year but they are better than Pickett, Clarkrange and JC this year. All seniors and the best team in southern middle Tn this year.

Upperman over Moore County tonight 69-48

Moore County could never beat Pickett County this year. Pickett was 2nd best in the state last year and are even better this year. Clarkrange made it to the finals but played the weaker side to get there and lost by more to South Greene than Pickett did. PC has the best 2 freshman girls I've seen with one starting and the other coming in, plus Courtney Pritchett should be a Miss Basketball nominee. She was MVP in both the district and the region tournaments over Miss Basketball Kara Meadows last year. I saw Clarkrange today and unless they just had an off day, they aren't as good as last year. I doubt Moore Co could beat the first 4 teams in our district.

Might as well go ahead and ship the gold ball, mvp trophy ,miss basketball plaque and freshman of the year award to Byrdstown.  Might want to venture out a little and watch some different kids and teams, your repeat ,repeat quotes are gettin old.

Hallelujah!!! I'm glad someone else is thinking the same thing. Somebody is obviously obsessed!! I can't figure if their more obsessed with Pickett County or their obvious hang up with Clarkrange. Your jealousy of them and the Meadows girl shows. We get it!! Why play games just give it all to Byrdstown and the rest can stay home kicked back on the couch.

    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL

    • You do know that on a young, down season we only lost to Dyersburg in the playoffs by less than a touchdown?! You act like those two teams are unbeatable and way above our skill level
