Don't sleep on TCA either.  Not sure if any of the region teams have anyone that can stop #22.  The key will be just to slow her down.  Greenfield will have their hands full trying to beat them 3 times in a season, especially coming off a loss.  It will be interesting to see how they come out Thursday.  If TCA pulls off the major upset, they may just take the Region since they play the rest of the way at home.  Interesting that Dresden has to travel to Middleton and win to advance.  Last year Middleton was upset and eliminated in a crazy substate game in Dresden.  Great time of the year with some great matchups in Region 7.

If Trinity can control turnovers and gets the ball to #22 early and often Greenfield could be in trouble. She is piling up points right now.  We have played them three times and every game were single digits and close late. Very dangerous team.

It will be interesting to see where the Greenfield girls are mentally. In the first two games w/TCA, the starters were sitting midway through the 3rd quarter b/c they had 30 points leads. #22 Lee had decent numbers, but most of her points came against the Greenfield reserves. I think this game will be close for a while, but Greenfield will find it's rhythm and take it by at least 15.

That is a big "if," though.  The games I have seen, if you put pressure on the guards, they give up 20 plus TO's.  The key to me will be how the refs call the game.  If they call touch fouls on the Greenfield guards in the press, this game will come down to the wire.  If they let them play, could be an easy win for Greenfield.  Both teams have a ton of young players and this is a huge "loser leave town" match.  Should be interesting to see how they react to the pressure....

Greenfield and Trinity should be over by halftime but you never know how we will approach the game. Its tournament time and time to play every minute of every game to win, every game matters now. It will be a sad day if Greenfield doesn't win the region hands down with all this talent.

Greenfield is definitely the favorite, but you just seen them go down to a team that has lost several. Gleason is a good team but they definitely weren't favored. Good luck to all!!

I personally think everyone is overlooking a very good Summertown team. The Lady Eagles average 59.5 points per game while only allowing 35 points per game. One of the most impressive stats the Lady Eagles boast are their defensive stats. The Lady Eagles averaged 16.5 defensive rebounds per game and have stolen the ball an astonishing 290 times for an average of 10.4 steals per game. If you plan to beat them, you will have your work cut out for you. Dont sleep on them.

Vandy,

I am not overlooking them.  I believe they will be playing Huntingdon in the region ch-ship.  And if they do, that game will be a dogfight!!!  Win or lose it, I think they will be in the Boro!

If anyone is being overlooked it's the Huntingdon Fillies, 22-1 with lone loss being a great Greenfield team which schooled us. Beat Gleason and Gibson Co both 3 times. Dresden scared to play us. We're tall and fast and capable of beating anybody if we figure it out and get hot.

Nobody should be overlooked at this point. We play Union City tonight and they are always big and physical and have my respect. No "cake walks" moving forward. Lots of good teams around here. Huntingdon is a good team. Greenfield is another good one. Whoever gets hot and handles the pressure and adversity will have a chance moving forward to make a serious run.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
