AC Lady Mavs Softball

Anderson Co. beat Gibbs last night, 7-4, for an impressive district W!  AC hadn't beaten Gibbs since 2003 (they didn't play when Gibbs was winning AA titles but had lost the previous 12 games to the Lady Eagles since being classed in district 3).  AC is also off to their best start in many years.  The new coach has brought a new energy and the girls are playing really well together.  This district has proven over the years to be one of the toughest in AAA but the AC Lady Mavs are looking to compete this season!  Good luck Coach Russell and the Lady Mavs!! #hookem

How did they do against Halls in both games?

Both Halls and Powell swept them.

1-5 vs the big three in the regular season.  Season ended in a tough 3-2 loss to Halls tonight in the district tournament.  AC still not one of the top in the district but closing the gap.  A lot of returning starters in 2018.  Could be the year they break through to regions.  Future is bright.
