GCA 2017 - A New Era

Thought we needed a fresh start on here. We now know who our coach is and his staff has been set. Spring Practice started yesterday and things are picking up. Tough road ahead for our RAMS as they prepare for August. Nothing a lot of Hard Work can't handle.

I haven't seen anyone talking about winning a state championship or anything pertaining to a state championship. I think you're off base in your assessment of the true GCA fan base. But, yes, we are very excited about our new coach and look forward to competing in the new division.

90% of fans who are excited about the upcoming season fall into the not "tripping over gold balls" category. Looking forward to improvement shouldn't be mocked. Get some perspective...

I love it when people respond to a post and type faster in their response than their brains can comprehend what they've just read. Pride stated Rams are preparing for August, not November. The preparation leading up to August will dictate if the Rams will be around in November. There's nothing wrong with being excited for a new era to begin in our program, and no one is predicting a title run that I've seen. I'm also so glad to hear in your vast knowledge of DII-AA football that you have polled the coaches and nobody is worried about us or Rusty Bradley. The coaching staff was just saying the other day that they were hoping that nobody in DII-AA would be intimidated by our size, speed and athletic prowess not to mention our bronze Ram statue. What I'd suggest is you go practice kicking your balls, and we'll focus on throwing and running ours.

Bottom line: People at GCA are excited about the Rusty Bradley system being implemented from the youth program up to the HS program. Let us be happy, for shortly we will be playing good competition (Non-Barney Fife schools) in a new division. Good luck to all the DII-AA teams.
