I do not think that Vatt is wrestling 171 for McCallie. I think it will be Hanzelik.

I am particularly impressed with how you have found some kids that have not yet wrestled a varsity match. You must have spies in many wrestling rooms.

Very interesting, I think that Manley (McCallie) is ranked in too heavy a class. (What about it walkenvol?) And, Manson (Baylor 103) is seriously underestimated. I know, I know...he has never wrestled a varsity match.

Having wrestled both of them, I think that Vance can beat Nick Marable. Just an opinion, and good job on the rankings.

Bluebelly - It's been posted before that McCallie has several of their returning starters weighing close to 150. The coaches are working hard to determine what gives them their strongest lineup. Probably won't know until the East Ridge match on the 5th.

I saw that match also. It struck me that Manson appeared larger then Coleman. I believe they wrestled in the 112 lb class. Either way, it was a great win. Does he have any history competing against the younger Dunning? A Fuller/Manson matchup tomorrow at the Baylor / SD match would showcase 2 very promising freshmen. Who does Baylor have to wrestle Lane from SD?

I know these two (Manson and Coleman) young men. Cory is a very good wrestler but beating Coleman is a big accomplishment. Danny is one of a group of very good wrestlers in the state regardless of class. The January 2nd rematch should be interesting. For now it sheds an entirely new light on both the DI and DII rankings. Manson will move up behind Dunning in DII. Coleman will hang onto the top spot in DI for now. Cleveland has a tough December schedule...we will see.

 

By the way...Will someone please post the complete reults of the Southern open?
